LEB View Point #1 - Looking In From the Blast Door

This is the initial view you have after opening the 8 ton blast door to the Launcher Equipment Building. If the site is on emergency battery power, or you have forgotten to turn on the lights at the switch upstairs, this place is darker than an IRS agent's heart.

To the left you can see the ladder giving access to the upper equipment mezzanine, next to the Brine Chiller equipment. The grey panels at the back of the room are the Power Control Center, which houses all of the commercial power circuits. On the right, lies the exhaust fan system.

As you can see, the equipment and cosmetic condition shows 30+ years of wear and tear. The area is also quite noisy, as the intake and exhaust fans run at near-safety limit noise levels; if the generator kicks in, the noise becomes deafening in the underground room so hearing protection is mandatory here.
