MM III Launch

This clip shows 2 views of a Minuteman launch from LF-26, near Point Sal, California, at the far north edge of Vandenberg AFB. It begins with a longshot view from the south of the site, and gives a good shot of the "smoke ring" that Minuteman launches are trademarked for. It then cuts to the view by an observation aircraft, showing the missile arcing up thru the atmosphere, with the sunlit ocean as a background.

This would no doubt be one of the most scenic clips I have, except that the picture quality is very grainy due to the age of the tape I pulled it from. I hope to be replacing it with a better quality copy soon.
