Welcome to my collection of ICBM Video clips. At first glance, it may appear to the layman as if all missile and rocket launches are the same, a sort of "seen one, you've seen them all" impression. But the same can be said about sunsets - or you can watch carefully and notice every one is different, and some hold much beauty or surprise.
The clips listed below are just a few examples of the dozens of missile launches that happen each year. Just click on a thumbnail to see a detailed explanation of the video, and download the file.
NOTES ON DOWNLOADING THESE FILES:
Some of the larger movie files may take several minutes to download, especially if you have a slower modem.
If you are using a recent browser and Windows Media Player, the download should appear in a separate window, allowing you to continue exploring other pages of this website while waiting on the video clip to load.
If you experience errors such as "filename/path incorrect" or the file seems to load completely but not play, your server and/or security settings for your browser may be configured to prevent viewing. To bypass this problem, do this:
- Go to the page describing the video you wish to download by clicking the links below.
- right-click on the video image you wish to download, select "save target as", and select a folder to save the file to.
- After downloading is complete, open up your AVI viewer program, and open the downloaded file from your drive, to see it.
If you experience codec or filter unavailable errors, you may not have the proper decompression filter software loaded in your computer. Most of the AVI files use Indeo 5.0 compression. If this is present and the file will still not play, check your settings, you may not have this filter enabled for use.
